Who We Are

We have a 100-year history of raising the next generation with comprehensive care.

We have a biblical directive to care for children in need

For over 100 years, Tipton Children's Home has been dedicated to providing a safe and loving Christian home for children needing long-term care. Our mission is to nurture each child's physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional growth. We aim to create a stable, supportive environment where children can thrive and prepare for a successful future.

Our House Parents

At Tipton Children's Home, our house parents are the cornerstone of our nurturing environment. These dedicated individuals live on-site, providing full-time care and support to the children in their cottages. With backgrounds in education, social work, and childcare, our house parents are fully equipped to meet the diverse needs of our children. Their commitment goes beyond providing primary care; they foster a loving, stable, and supportive home where children can grow and thrive. Our house parents are indeed the hands and feet of Jesus, embodying our mission to raise healthy, productive adults.

Our Rich History

Tipton Children's Home began in 1921 in Canada, Texas, when Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Beach took in four children after their mother's death. With support from the local church, the home quickly expanded. By 1923, they had 72 children and needed a larger facility. Sol and Maggie Tipton donated eighty acres to Tipton, Oklahoma, and the home was relocated there in 1924.

The new location provided a spacious and nurturing environment. Over the years, the facility grew to include dormitories, classrooms, and other essential amenities. Governed by the elders of the Tipton Church of Christ, the home continued to flourish. By 1927, it housed 220 children, many attending the local public school.

Today, Tipton Children's Home remains dedicated to providing a loving, stable, and Christian environment for needy children, building on the solid foundation laid over a century ago.
